Is my Duncan in too much flow?

I only got this duncan yesterday but he is only opening up this much. I was wondering if he may be in too much flow. I should also mention that he is in the bottom of the tank as suggested.

Assuming your paramters are within reason, I would just give it more time to adjust. Duncans seem to be very durable when it comes down to lighting & flow IME. If it doesn't look like it should after 3 or 4 days, you might want to think about moving it someplace else in the tank.
