Is my GBTA irritant to my halide?

I have had my GBTA for about 6 months plus now and it has been doing very well. My percula hosts it and all...they work well with one another.

I have only been running my actinics for a little while b/c I was battling a red slime problem so I left my 250watt halide off for a while. Nowadays, since I don't have the red slime problem, I believe my GBTA gets irritate when my halide goes on. It just closes itself up and stays away from the light.

I guess it is re-adapting itself to my light? B/c I rarely turned it on for that while of time and so on. It was living under my halide before my red slime incident as well.

Any ideas? I am guessing this is a natural thing.
My water parameters are perfect.

How long is " a while" ? But, from what you've stated it seems to me that the GBTA is just re-acclimating to the MH. I suggest that you either shorten your light period (lengthen it each week) or add some window screening over your tank, and remove one each week.
