the pic is fuzzy, but it's the best i can get. this discoloration showed up on my maroon last week. i have the clownfish book by
Joyce D. Wilkerson. the closest thing i could come to is Clownfish Disease, Brooklynellosis? but any pics i found of sick clowns with that disease.......well they looked A LOT worse.
here are some symptoms i have found:
Increased mucus production
• Loss of appetite
• Turbidity of the skin
• String-like material hanging from the fish
• Increased respiration, or even open-mouth gasping
• Hyperactivity in early stages
• Hiding or reclusiveness
• Cloudy eyes associated with secondary bacterial infections
• Faded colors or discolored areas
• Lethargic in late stages
• Hanging at the surface or laying on the bottom in late stages of infection
• Rapid weight loss associated with dehydration, as fish lose their ability
to osmoregulate.
• Loose scales
• Secondary bacterial infections
she does not have any of theses. like i said i noticed this early in the week.
you can't see it in the pic but the discolored part looks sort of like a scab? somebody HELP!!
