Is my monti bleaching?

Hey all, I came home from being out of town and saw my monti with the lights off - it's a seasons greetings - and I noticed that the top portion of it is lighter color than the rest. Is it possible that it's just new growth coming from the top? Or is it bleaching? If you could give your opinion that would be great. Just getting anxious about all of this!!

New growth normally appears on the skirt (outer edge). Take a picture with the lights on, it's hard to see with this picture.

Looks bleached to me.
