Is my overflow plumbing design okay?

Hey guys, this is my first time plumbing a reef tank and was wondering whether my design looks okay to you guys.

Tank is 100 gallons

Return is 550 gph, flexible pvc pipe straight up to other side of tank

Main overflow will be herbie method with 1.5 in pipe, emergency 1inch going straight down.

Any suggestions/critiques? Thanks for any help you can provide, looks okay to me from my understanding of it all, but never sure if I got something wrong :)

My first observation is I do not see an overflow. I see two open pipes, which you are intending to run as a siphon drain system, the roles of which for safety reasons, are reversed. The pipes should either be both the same size, or the siphon the smaller of the two.

I don't think that you have yet read enough, or have read too much of the wrong information concerning overflows and drains, together making an 'overflow system.' Nothing wrong with that, everyone needs to start someplace. With that in mind, though I could spend the next two hours typing out what you need to know, it could easily leave you scratching your head, I will direct you to some solid information concerning these topics. Though the drain system is not a two pipe siphon system, all the principles and discussion still apply. Some of it may be review, some of it may not be. However, you will have an idea of where I am headed, and why. :)
