Hi

So my DT had ich and all my fish died except 2 clowns. I put them through ttm and prazi. They seem to be ich free now. Now I need them in a qt tank. So I put together a 20 gallon qt and used a bacteria in a bottle product called atm colony as bio Spira isn't available in Canada and used the clowns to kick start the process as that's what's recommended by the product to do. Use fish in.

Anyways I'm now into day 15 of the cycle and I'm getting the following readings

Salifert
0 ammonia it's cloudy with now colour just a milky white/Grey
0.25 Nitrite
20 ppm nitrates

API
1ppm ammonia
2pm Nitrite
0ppm nitrates

Is my tank cycled?

Any ammonia is too much! Get a bottle of Seachem Stability and dose the QT according to the directions. The ammonia should dissipate with that stuff. Also, going forward keep a sponge filter in your sump so it will be seeded with beneficial bacteria. This way when you need to set up a QT again you will not have to cycle the tank. The bacteria will be in the filter already. Good luck...
