Is my ro filter bad??

I have my qt tank set up and I did a small water change. A couple of hours later I can see the water getting cloudy so I tested the water. The ammonia was off the charts. I tested my ro water and it was a little over zero. Is there a prob. with my filter

Apparently so. From properly filtered RO water, should have NOTHING in your water.

Ok I found the problem. Who ever put the unit together put the main water supple going into the di filter and not the micron filter. So my question is do you think the membrane is bad now?

There shouldnt be that much ammonia in your tap water before it is filtered so I would check the tap water for ammonia - if not there look for something in QT that is causing it.
