Is my sump platform causing noise?

Here is a picture of the platform I built to hold my rubbermaid sump.

I attached the platform to the wall studs with screws for extra stability. When I turn on the pump, I can hear a humming noise that sounds like vibrations. Is this because I attached it to the walls?

I know the pump itself is not vibrating as I have lifted it and put padding under it to test.

the pump can still hum. vibrations can transfer through the hard pipes to the rubermaid tub and to thd stand. vibrations can transfer through the foam some too

i doubt it is vibrating because it is attached to studs, but having that short stand could be causing reverberations between the stand and floor that is amplifying the hum of your pump.

I was getting really loud vibration with a glass sump and wooden stand. I put a piece of carpet padding (1/2" thick) in between--instant silence.

I emptied the sump and placed carpet padding under it and it helped considerably. Thanks for the tip beanoil. I'm still getting some vibrations from the plumbing attached to the studs. So I'll pad those as well and see if that helps more.
