is my tank too big for a wavebox?

I have a 200 gallon hobby tank I bought a wavebox for. It is 72x36x18. I have the wavebox turned up full steam and there is very little wave action, and very little flow in the tank. Is the tank just too wide for it? Should I position the wavebox in the middle instead of in a corner?

Thanks,

Jeremy

I think you need to tune it, it should work fine. It should be roughly centered in a tank that wide but you need to adjust the timing until you get one wave cresting on one end with a trough on the other.

The only adjustment you should do is the pulse, if it isn't set exactly right- nothing happens. You have to find the resonance frequency of your aquarium and when that happens the wave starts, it can sometimes take hours to hit just right so be patient, turn in hair increments and wait a few seconds. The only othe possible adjustment is on the driver box and that should be left at full power.
