Could someone show me a picture of what it looks like when a leather sheds. I picked mine up about 2 weeks ago and it just keeps looking worse and worst, I used a turkey baster to rid the top of slime but it does not look like its going to come around. I remeber reading a post and someone said to rub the base to see if its mushy (kind of like its melting) I tryed that and it seems fine at the base but the top looks horrible. I wish I could take a picture to show everyone but my g/f has my camera. I dont think anything is wrong witth he water chemestry usually my anenome and xenia will show signs of stress b4 anthing elce. The only other leather i have in my tank is a kenya tree and its growing liek crazy, there are also no sps in my tank.

you should test your water or go get it tested at a LFS. My leather sometimes takes 3 to 5 days to fully shed and reopen. If the base isn't all mushy I think it's going to be fine. Mine is about as big as a small serving plate.
