Is my Trachyphyllia fishing!?

Fishy 1

The Reefer From Downunder
So I take one last look at the tank before going to bed a I see my tracky has two thread like filaments coming out of it. I was amazed as the tracky let them float behind it in the flow then it would pull one of them back in at a time (quickly) and then it would let them float again. These threads were a good 6" long and on top of the two individual threads was a row of smaller ones that went the whole length of the main ones. There is an Acan down stream of the tracky but it didn't seem to unhappy so I don't think it was stinging it. So I'm quite confused and amazed. Has anyone else noticed this?

Here's a pic of were the threads were coming out of. At either end of the whitish line in the middle of the pic.

You can just see the two threads.

So what do you guys think?

That is cool!! Thanks for answering that one mate:). It is fascinating to watch.

I noticed my fish got stung by the Comb Jelly that lives on my Trachyphyllia.
I'm not so sure I like this in my tank. [emoji15]
The yellow corris wrasse bummed into the Comb Jelly and immediately rubbed it's self on the rock, like he was stung and trying to rub the spot.

The putty I put on the bottom didn't work.
I did a real good job putting, but then about two weeks later I seen the Comb Jelly strands coming out of the middle, not the side.

It's not really harming anything, but I'm still not excited about having it.
