Is my Yellow Tang harrassing my Golden Angel

I have a golden Angel that is staying at the top of my aquarium. My Tang keeps swimming up to him and pushing him towards the surface. Is this aggression?:headwally: I have a 90 gallon cube and both fish were introduced at the same time.

if a fish is only swimming at the top of water channel due to another fish forcing it out then it sounds like aggression. hopefully this will pass. Do you have enough hiding places in the rock works?

I have very little rock work in my tank. So maybe having some more rock would help. I don't want to loose my Golden angel.

the more rockwork the better imo. more filtration, more hiding places, more area to grow coral on. i think you should get more rock
what size tank btw?

Stick a mirror on the tank to distract the tang for a few days. He'll likely leave the angel alone while it's there and hopefully once it's removed.

Create a cave just small enough to fit the Golden or place a coffee cup or some other device in your tank to create a temporary hiding place .

Golden angelfish require a lot of rock work to dart into and out of. They will only get comfortable if they have this in the tank.

be careful. You may want to get of your yellow tang. At the very least add a bunch of rock. Even if he wasn't being bullied, the fish will do better in the long run if he has caves/rockwork to live in.

Goldens need a lot of rock to pick on. They very rarely eat prepared foods. This is exactly why people say tangs need bigger tanks, they get aggressive. And to make it worse, goldens are very sensitive fish. Did your lfs tell you the golden would be a good fit for a tank with "very little rock" and that a very aggressive species of tang would be a good fit for a 3' tank?
