I haven't heard of issues of them eating snails. I have heard of a few eating crabs. Eventually they will eat your shrimp. Mine doesn't touch snails or hermits. The first week in my tank he ate all my peppermints. Then eventually ate all my cleaners. The only shrimp I have left is a tiger pistol shrimp paired up with a yellow watchman gobby. He does eye the pistol shrimp all the time but never goes in for a strike. I wonder if he either got a nice pop from the shrimp or the gobby is just really good at his job.
they will be fine until they get eaten as its always a possibility . older mystery wrasses usually get aggressive and will defend their territories against anything that gets near its space . most snails will left alone but are always in danger IMO .
