Is something wrong with my gbta

I have a gbta that keeps pulling into the rock to where you almost cant see it. My question is can they get too much light? I have it directly under a 250 MH and there are two pc. He is out and hosting a maroon clown nicely for about 6 hours and then he pulls in until the lights go out at night. The tank parameters are fine. I have been told that the maroon can love him to death but it is just such a beautiful fish that I hate to get rid of him. He is such a bully though.

How big is the nem in comaprison the the clown? What size tank, and where is the nem located in the tank? A picture would be helpful.

Well it is at least twice the size of the clown. I would say 6 inches or so. The tank is about 115 gallons and I have him directly under the MH and in the middle of the live rock so pretty much center of the tank. I have tried posting pics but that isnt going so well. I have a thread on that also.

How long have you had it? While that light wouldn't be too much for an E. Quadricolor, it might be too much light too soon.

What are the actual parameters?

For maroons, 2 times as big is as low as I would go, and might be the issue -- depending on the above answers.
