is the best way to rid aiptasia a natural way?

for me the most effective route for controlling Aiptasia and Majano.

Control your nutrient in the water to prevent new spawn.

Aiptasia is much more effective small or large if you can remove the rock, just near the surface so you can see them than I use aiptasia X. Without water the concentration is not diluted.

Majano is easier, I injected them with Aiptasia X with the rock remove or in the tank. Stab them and knock them lose from the rock, clean them up.

I never find natural way effective or quickly enough for my liking.

I had a monster infestation of aiptasia. I got it under control with joe's juice and kalk. But as I have found is usually the case, you are missing areas in crevices and other hard to reach areas like overflows and whatnot. Eventually I could not keep up with them manually. I tried berghias. They helped for a while, but I did find that wrasses and some other fish would pick them off thinking pod I guess. I finally bought a Copperband for my display and peppermint shrimp for my fuge. The Copperband took a while to get started but eventually wiped out the majority (all that could be seen) large and small in the display and the shrimp methodically cleaned the fuge. My Copperband one day got stuck to my Vortec and back came the aiptasia in force. I now have a very large Copperband that is a very strong swimmer, eats mysis, krill, and loves the occasional aiptasia that pops up. The key is finding a Copperband that will eat food other than aiptasia. I have not had many Copperbands, but the 2 I had were efficient aiptasia killers and did not pick at anything else. I have heard of others that picked at zoas and other corals. YMMV

I had no success with a file fish, he ate anything I fed the tank but no aiptesia and fortunately no corals too.

well the mom impulsively bought 5 peps after seeing them eat aips in the LFS but i have doubts, cant tell if one molted last night or was eaten by the six, looks like a molt tho.

mark- indeed theya re expensive, $65 for 5. the undy is in the sump (working on a deal to trade him) but im worried bout the sixline eating the peps.

figures about CBB

lol would a raccoon be better than a CBB or no? dont they get bigger than CBB?

dont worry i thought about using a hook to catch the undy, instead he treid his power play, powering through the net. didnt work out for him :P

ken- i tried kalk and vinegar not aiptasia X tho. the kalk was great for aips on a flat surface. vinegar great but i can get all of them. 60%+ of the aips return.

cake- another plus for the CBB, i jsut read they are picky. if the peps dont work ill look for a healthy CBB for sure. wat size tank is this in? would one work in a 75 with a small-medium yellow tang?

gmi- ok thanks for personal experience.

I had one in a 120. I now have him in a 240. If you get a CBB try to make sure it eats something other than aiptasia.
