heres the deal, i found a cheap large naso. its around 8" maybe more. they have had it for months and are asking a really good price plus they have 25 percent off. the general rule i hear is a 240 gallon minimum. assuming that means 8 foot. I have a 220 which is six foot. The tank is peninsula so its kinda like 12 feet. if you count both sides of the rock structure.

what do you think?? to do or not to do

It wasn't too long ago the tank size for a naso was 180 gallons. Seems the tank recommendations go up somewhat arbitrarily. Maybe it has something to do with marketing? LOL!! Go for it.

Up to you, man. If you have made concessions for a huge free-swimming fish in your tank and it's a big passion of yours go for it.

If you could see him growing up and blundering around in a crowded reef full of rocks and corals, than you probably shouldn't.

that is my concern while i have nearly an entire open swimming area. there are no caves for him. im afraid he is going to rack himself on my 50 dollar tort frag
