Is the word Bristle worm a night mare for yall something to worry about???

no, they are a good thing ( as long as they are the common ones not a fire worm ). and if you've seen one then you have a hundred. bristle worms are given a bad reputation because they are caught at the scene of the crime after the incident, just doing their job of cleaning up the dead and rotting.

Ram you really are afraid of bristleworms .... 3 posts in a night !!

They are fine. I think someone told you otherwise maybe your LFS?

On the occasion I have to pick up my squamosa or plate coral, there is usually like 8 million little worms under them. All all inverts are healthy as can be, no issues. Just take a close look. Like a4twenty said, if you've got fireworms, get ready for war.

I have a HUGE popualtion of bristleworms... some about 6" and they have never bothered any of my clams and my clams are sitting on the sand bed. If I move one of the clams I am sure that there are bristleworms living underneath them. Bristle worms are great scavengers... I also feed very lightly so I know that they are hungry! Dont worry about them. If your clam is on the brink of death you might want to worry but if everything is going well in your tank then you will be fine.

If I had them I would be terrified beyond reason...Lucky me, only the sand and rock in my tank have them...Sorry! Couldn't help it.

Don't worry about bristleworms, they can still give you an itch if you're not careful, but they won't damage healthy livestock.
