Is there a Los Angeles Reef Club?

I am wondering if there is a REEF club here in LA. I would love to join something like SCMAS but it would be more practical to have events near home rather than down south and braving traffic.

I would think that there are enough of us REEFers around here...

I live in South Pasadena and it would be cool if we could arrange some kind of frag swap every couple of months!

you don't have to attend all the meetings to benefit from SCMAS club membership. There are many more other perks to take advantage of as a member, such as special events, group-buys, fieldtrips, tank-tours, workshops, LFS discounts, group e-mail announcements, fellowship/member networking, etc. etc.
...and the meetings that you DO attend are worth it for the outstanding raffles alone! We are continuously growing and improving every month.

Come check us out February 16. Steve Garrett (Garrett's Acropolis) will be speaking this month with a presentation of his "new/redesigned/improved" outdoor coral propogation system; complete with custom aluminum framing, Starfire viewing panels, solar roof, race-track-style circulation, and many other self-engineered innovations that are absolutely amazing!

I suggest getting the best of both worlds: join both SCMAS "and" MASLAC. Associate membership to join the second club is ony $15.
