is there a problem with the search function?

works fine for me, what are you looking for? Sometime your search term will cause the error

It only worked once for me b4 I paid for the membership. Now it works for me when I use it.

I agree--its well worth the 20 dollars to become a premium member---the search function works much better

Go to Google and type this into the search box site:reefcentral.com clownfish where clownfish is the item you with to search. Works every time for any site.
