Is there a right and wrong order to set up the Apex controller?

While I wait on my mixing pump I was going to use the wave pump to mix my first batch of saltwater. But I've got no water in my tank. My apex is connected but it looks as though my dashboard is the generic board you log into using the given admin login. How do I personalize it to make it mine? Do I connect to fusion? Looking online on how to activate my Wav pumps it says connect by unlocking the used tile bin that is the color orange. Mine is not the color orange. Any help or suggestions?
