boboxx New member Sep 24, 2008 #2 you can set a pin # from the extra>PIN menu. I would not called this a safe way but it is possible and better then having the device wide open. Best approach is to place it is inside your network and to buy a small vpn appliance or make one using the 1000 of software available online.

boboxx New member Sep 24, 2008 #4 changing the port is not really adding any security... a simple port scann will reveail that in about 30 sec But it is nice to be able to change it to a different port if your internet provider is blocking the required port. best way: use Private network/VPN quick and dirty : use PIN
