Is there an easy way to get BTA out of the tank?

I am up to 7 huge one now and I dont want that many. They are all on very large pieces of rock which make up the framework of my rock, so cant take the pieces out. Any tricks out there on how to get them off?

Best I've ever done is to get a butter knife under the foot and slowly work your way around it.

BTW - if they're rbta.......and affordable I'm still looking to replace all the one's I got rid of.

Put some top-off water in the fridge and then blast the foot with it. This will sometimes get them to let go. If nothing else it might loosen it a little before you use the butter knife.

They are the green ones, big and healthy, and I dont need the 7 (or more havent looked everywhere) that I have. If I can ge them off I will let you know

I got mine out by taking a MJ400 and blasting it towards his foot. he got mad and started to move. I used my fingers then to slowly pry the foot up. All the time moving the MJ around him. Eventually he let go. Took about 20 minutes though.

I was just going to say a strong powerhead should do the trick. It might take a couple of hours but it sure will get them to move.

Sign me up for one if you get it off. I really need something for my clowns to host in. Willing to pay!!!

scratch me on the gbta.

but the easiest way is get a butter knife under the foot and then a powerhead where you lifted the foot up. the anemone won't be able to hold on.

Let me know how you end up getting them loose, I have 2-3 I am needing to get off too but they are on there good!

I've heard the ice trick works but I've never tried myself.

Ice will work,but kind of a pain. Best thing I do is just use a small object like jeff said or a finger nail and get a small portion up,then the rest usually pulls right up. Have removed hundreds this way. Sometimes a small chisel is needed if its in a hole or crevis to remove a small bit of rock. Dont worry about being real delicate,even if you rip or tear them a bit they will be fine,since they are healthy and established.
