Yes, the goby, although he didn't die. So far he looks none the worse for wear, although a bit shell shocked.

I SO carefully peered into every hole in that rock before taking it out of the tank and when he flopped out of the rock I was madly juggling trying to keep him on the towel. *Sigh* I am very thankful the dog and both cats were out of the room at the time.

Funny... yellow watchman gobies look green lying on laminate flooring...

I do think "squish" beats "splat."

I had a couple of sucidal fish. It sucks to find them stuck on the floor. I glad you caught it in time.

I found a neon goby once on the floor in time. I woke up in the middle of the night and just KNEW something was wrong. Sure 'nuff, there was this black spec on the carpet... after that I started calling him the psychic fish.

Mine wasn't a sound but sight.

We went to town on a Saturday and we were not gone very long (THANK GOODNESS)! When we walked in and was putting groceries down, I looked at the tank and thought what's up with the funky color? Then I noticed my corals slimming and the anemone all closed up and the clowns trying to find shelter. I raised up the door and my 400W MH bulb was busted but still burning a weird color of light. My purple stripe that I have had since I stared my tank didn't make it. My corals healed and the rest of the fish were ok. The new Yellow tang that I had just bought the week before didn't come out of the rocks for days. I have no clue why the bulb did that ...water must have got on the bulb some how???? But that was scary to me. I bet when the bulb broke it must have made a loud sound.

How about the "bzzzzzzzzzt" sound when you put your hand in the tank and there's stray voltage? ...happened to me twice in the last month.

I found my sixline on the couch several feet away from the aquarium....dried out like a piece of jerky. This was several years ago. Weird thing is the hood on my aquarium was at least 12" tall so he had to go up 12" and then over several feet.
