Is there something up with my clown

Always bring a towel
About a week ago, I got my first fish, Two clowns. I didn't acclimate them correctly and one died. I put the other in my sump for a day and let it chill out in there. When I put I back display, it went to the back of the tank and really hasn't left that area since. It has been eating both the pellets and mysis, but when the powerheads come back on, it immediately goes to the back near the surface and just hangs put there. This is my first reef tank, so I'm not sure of this is normal until it gets used to the tank.

Could it be the amount of flow in the tank? All that I currently have in the the tank is a small paly, zoa, zenia, and gsp frag, 4 astraea and 4 turbo snails, arched eyed hawkish, and two peppermint shrimp. Nothing else seems to be bothered by the flow, and the powerheads aren't turned up that high to begin with.

Will it eventually come around, or is there something else going on?

It could be that your clown is claiming the back of the tank as it's territory. my clowns spend all day in the back of the tank and sometimes venture a little ways but always go back. It also could be you have your powerheads turned in a direction your clown doesn't like.
This is just a guess.

I agree, it could be the spot he likes. My Clowns do the same thing picking a spot and staying there most of the time.
