Is there such a thing as a good camera under $100?

On dpreview.com there's a buying guide, with various feature choices. I chose the lowest price (less than $200) and came up with lots of choices. It looks like if you can get up to about $150 you can get a very decent little camera. For under a hundred my first thought was to try looking for a used camera, perhaps at somewhere like B&H where you can get at least a 30 day warranty.

There are many deals to be held for around $100. Many of them being on sale and such. Check slickdeals.net because a lot of deals come up often.

I got an DXG-409 on clearance for $40. 4 mega-pixels.

Getting better at focus, but having more trouble with lighting.

How are flashes rated? I hope I don't need a new camera just for a better flash.

you shouldnt use a flash when you are taking pictures of your tank it will wash out the shot instead just leave the lens open a couple extra seconds that should be all the light you need

You mean if I hold the button down longer the shutter will stay open longer?
No- doesn't work that way. I believe he meant that simply using a longer shutter speed will let more light in.
