It has a very unique texture. I would like to keep it. It seem to be growing quickly.

Not a problem unless it starts to take over a coral or something like that. If you don't like it, just aim some higher flow at it and it will go away. At least that is what the black sponge in my tank did.

Yes, I have it in my tank as well. I've had it for years and it appears to be harmless and only grows in low light/low flow areas of the tank. I wouldn't be concerned.
