Is this a feather duster?

These have spring up all over my LR. The rock once was full of aptasia but I killed it all. restarted the tank and these things started about a month ago.

If they are feathers or what ever, are the good or bad?

I think so. And feather dusters are good.

Yea. Not anything bad. Many people have them on their liverock.

yep thats what they are and yes they are good, filter feeders.

I also have them. small, up to 1/2 inch. Much better than aptasia...which I had delt with in a previous tank.

the only thing is that if you have alot of them it may be a sign of high desolved nutrients in the water

I have a nice group of them on a piece of LR that my palypolyp came on, I thought it was a nice little bonus.

on a different piece of LR (fiji) there is one that has a bright red feather, is this a bad one?

Last time I thaoght the Aptisia was feathers until they took ver the tank.
