is this a good buy for ro/di unit

DI resin goes fast on those but otherwise a decent unit for a great price.

Nanook will say "Air, Water, and Ice.
Supreme customer service and a quality product.

I like AirWaterIce...

I bet Nook says Spectrapure,
Supreme customer service and a quality product.

I have the same one and yes the DI resin gets used up too quickly. It works but know there are much better units out there.

all of them on that website for aquariums ro/di or for 110 gpd and the the price is what i like and refillable di filters

Big Spectrapure fan here! They have consistently helped me with different systems and questions...they sell units that work for the long haul too. I know there are several other reputable companies out there, but I keep with the one that I used from the start when I asked which RODI to use and everyone back then said "Spectrapure". I bet a LOT of them old reefers that have been doing it for a long while still use Spectrapure too.

:)

Why do the DI run out so fast? That was going to be my next one too. Since that one has 2 DI chambers would that make it last a little longer?

even if they do it won't break the bank to order more look at different websites not expensive to refill. plus i use about fifteen gallons a week from evaporation. and can do big water change if need to.

i ordered the unit should be here this week, hey lonnie were did you get those big plastic 55 gallon drums, i'm gonna need one soon.

How Many Drums you need? I have 2, one for Mixed salt and one for top off. I think Stupidsreef can get them for $10 a drum.

While you are at it invest in a Kent Float Valve. Or you will end up with water on the floor, and I'm sure more than once..

When I ordered mine I had them take out the 110gpd membrane and throw in a 75gpd instead. They did this with no issue or problem.

Why is the 75gal or 110gpd better? I'm guessing the membranes let the water through to fast not collecting enough junk, and wear out faster?
