Is This a Good Camera?

I was just wondering if a Canon Rebel EOS 8 megapixel is any good at taking reef picutres? Thanks!!

The camera is fine. It's more the lens and the monkey behind the camera that matter.

The Rebel XT is a fine camera. You will need a macro lens (100mm f/2.8 ~$500) and a quality tripod (~$300) to make to good for your corals though.

Lol, I think I'd rather spend the money elsewhere then. I have decent tripod, and a lens... however I'm not sure what exactly the lens is.
