(This is not my refugium yet)
I have been doing research in building a simple/inexpensive 5-gal refugium for my AIO tank (skimmer already exists there). I am just trying to do the following:
1) Reduce nitrates/phosphates by way of (more) bio-filtration.
2) Raise some live-feed (i.e. pods)
I liked this design where a small pump was placed in the Chateo-only chamber to tumble it some. There is also a separate chamber with 4" live-sand bed for critters to make home.
I am not sure if I want to go with a Live-Rock/Chaeto chamber with no sand at all. Or something like which is pictured in the attached photo....
