is this a good ro/di ?

looks like no frills but can't touch that price...the unit is just a case anyway...the proof is in the pudding...or i mean the membranes...if you end up with 0 TDS you have done well...

You get what you pay for, you are about to learn a lesson in budget filters. With you new 200 gallon your looking for your not going to be happy with the low ball carbon filters and horizontal DI.

No one seems to get this these are foreign made drinking water systems made for low volume use. They are made with cheap carbon filters good for about 400 gallons of DI production water. A 100 GPD membrane has a rejection rate of 90% so if your tap water TDS is 100 the after membrane TDS is 10. The horizontal DI absorbs about 1200 ppm of TDS, This means you'll get 120 gallons of DI water before exhaustion. It isn't about the housings, it's the filters inside that make all the difference. Your better off buying a quality system to start with that has filters that can do the job.

I bought a system from FilterDirect on ebay and have done some REALLY HEAVY usage of the system over the last year +. Safe to say that I've easily run 1000g out of it. We just started getting a TDS of 2. It was definitely 100$ well spent.
