Wow, wered you find that thing. It doesn't look like a gorrila crab, but I'd say that from those long stiff looking hairs that its a spider decorator crab. Anyway, I wouldn't trust it at all.

Not a gorilla crab, and not a spider decorator crab. It is definatly not reef safe. You can tell by the pincers being dak brown to black. Also the a narrow and pointed for catching fish and other inverts.

doesnt look like a gorilla crab, could be wrong on that though. they come in many differnt colors and from the claws coming into points like they are he is not a reef safe crab. but very cool looking, i wish i found more stuff like these when i buy rock.

looks like the gorilla crabs that hitchhiked into my tank. The black tips on the claws and hairy appearance usually means not reef safe. My gorilla crabs ate a toadstool leather a derasa clam a serpent star fish and who knows what else they destroyed. I used them as mantis food.

well, it hitched on a rock I put into my mantis tank. The mantis is only about an inch long right now but he hates this thing...chases is around popping at it. I left it in the tank because I don't have any corals in there right now. Thought I would see what happens. I couldn't just flush it, in the wild it is survival of the fittest.
