Is this a green slimer (in the bottom left)? Also, if I wanted to buy it at this size, what should I pay? Thanks.

I looks like a green slimer to me. They are usually less expensive than other acros since they grow fast. As for a price on that one, i will leave that to someone else. It looks healthy and is a decent size.

the shop it is at is always on the high side when it comes to pricing. just want to see what others think it is worth so I dont feel like i got ripped off lol.

Price is going to vary highly depending where you are and who you are getting it from. I'd be reluctant to give my LFS more than 25 or 30 for a stick that size, if I'm seeing things right. That's about 3-4" is it not?

That said, I have been soured/ spoiled on buying corals - I have a local guy who hooked me up with a ton of stick frags for less than $1.50 each. You read that right.

yeah youre about right with the size. I think he said he wanted around $90 for the stick and to me that seems crazy high. Especially since I look online and it seems Green Slimier grow so fast and people sell frags for $10-$15 lol.

While I would never pay 90, youd be hard pressed to find LFS selling sps for under 30-40. And usually those are 2" or less. Better to find those not in it for the money and take better care of their sticks.

I agree. I can find some 1"-2" frags on here for sale for cheap, but by the time I pay for shipping its gets expensive. I need to find someone local with some healthy SPS they are wanting to trim down lol.

Id expect that to be 60-70 at a store. It's a nice piece. Maybe 40-50 at the hobbyist level. Most skimmer frags I've seen in my area are 20-30 but they are A LOT smaller than that piece.

Where are you located? Maybe someone close will chime in with some info.
