is this a red dragon?

hi guys

im relatively new at identifying sps. a local imported got this in from Indonesia...im interested in getting the coral if its something with potential beauty..my gut tells me its something nice (bear in mind we don't get fantastic sps often in south africe)

whats your opinion on identity..is this a red dragon? unfortunately it is the only pic I have. coral looks like a deepwater acro which is red in colour

if its not a red dragon, what can it be

only YOU can decide if its nice enough to fit in your limited space, dont get caught up in the fancy names, just get what looks nice to you.

I understand what you guys mean..in sa we don't really use fancy names..I saw the name red dragon when searching online for info.sometimes its hard buying sps coz you never know the full potential of the coral until it settles in.im going to hopefully collect the carduus tomorrow

Even corals with names that are very common can look different in different peoples tanks, what you beleive to be a red dragon, might look completely different in your tank. The best thing to do is just try to get the coral to color up as well as you can and hope for the best. If your tank is setup right, any coral can reach its full potential.

Oops. ..posted a pic in wrong thread...here is the sps I got. ..don't think its a red dragon...but not that long in tank yet and must increase lighting..
