Have any of you tried to replace the AC pump in a Bubble King Mini 160 with the newer Red Dragon X DC pump? I talked to Royal Exclusiv about it, and they say I have to replace the entire skimmer body to fit the pump. I haven't been able to see the exact differences in the new and old skimmer bodies, to see why this is necessary.

In the past when I've needed to replace a skimmer pump, I've reached out to Premium Aquatics and they were very helpful in getting a pump that would work for me.
