hi everyone!! am sure that this is a yuma but just wanto check with the expert here at RC..i paid $100 for it 2months ago. is that how much yuma cost in the market this days?? anyway 2 months later i have 7 babies one underneath the mother without even noticing it and i dont recall all the babies was there when i purchased it, anyone yuma ever takes off that fast??its about 6in. when lights on and fully expanded, is that normal size for an orange yuma?? and should i leave it there or should i propagate the little ones so it can get more lights for faster growth??

Yes it is a R. yuma, unless your white balance is off, $100 is alittle steep for a medium yuma that is mostly orange. It appears that the tips have some pink in them, but that could be just the way the photo looks. If it is pink on the tips, that is a somewhat unusual color variety, and was a very good score. Let the babies grow a while, scrape, remount and sell to local reefers who should gladly buy them for 15-20 bux a head

super sweet!!guess i got lucky then, cause i saw one on liveaquaria.com recently and their goin for a $100 just for a 5in. pale green yuma. the tips is pinkish but only around the edge. thanx for the reply but am just going to keep the babies!! my local fish store tend to rip us local reefer off with their ridiculously high price... =(

what are you feeding them?
what kind of lights do you have over them?

you could chip a few off the rock and glue them to a bigger rock and place them on the bottom and slowly move them up as they get acclimated... but you could accidentally kill them when chipping (it looks like they are pretty close together)

i feed my tank 3 cap of kent marine zoo-plex 3 cap of kent marine phyto-plex and 3 cap of kent marine mirco-vert every afternoon. i have four t5 fixture total of eight 54watts bulbs, six attanic and two 50/50. i think am goin to chip them off tom. afternoon after the feeding.. i'll post some pictures of the lil babies when am done!! CANT WAIT !! =D....

BINGO!! thats very nice!! you see, you live in cali and i live in albuquerque. theres only one dominant saltwater fish out here and our LFS tend to rip everybody off. i learn it the hard way and dont buy local anymore.

I live near Orlando Florida. I was in a fish store today that had yumas and plain mushrooms for 15 a head. Orange and blue rics were 35 a head. Rediculous.
