is this aiptasia? id help!

I bought this piece of zoanthid from my lfs and these odd looking heads popped out.

no, they're not aiptasia. they look like some palythoas.

Are they harmful? Will they affect my zoas?

Under actinic lighting they have a slight green glow in their centers.

they may block some light since their polyps are bigger and taller than those of zoas but i don't think they'll sting the zoanthids. if you like them, you can frag them off and place them by themselves on another rock.

It's def not aptasia, but they can grow and overtake the zoas.

Be very careful if removing the palys - they can contain palytoxin which is not something to mess with.

How can I remove them without hurting the other zoas? Is there anything I can do to kill them?
