Is this Aiptasia?

It looks as if I've gotten some hitchhikers on my macroalgae. I've removed some, but apparently missed some too. Is this Aiptasia? If so, i removing the pieces of macroalgae that they are attached to sufficient to rid my fuge of them? Can they spread to the display? These are all 1/4" to 3/8" in size.

Thanks!

Yeah, it does look like some form of it. There's a sticky thread in this section that gives you a number of ways of keeping them from infesting your tank. I've found the shrimp to be the best method. He loved eating them too.

I removed all the macroalgae and placed it in freshwater and went through it all. All of them came off (and other critters too :(). Found about 5 in the bottom of the bucket. One had attached itself to the glass of my fuge. I drained it past the spot he was attached to and used a syrnge to squirt approx 200degree freshwater on him. Fell right off. Siphoned him out and refilled. Good as new.

Thanks,
Jason
