I'm trying to find out if there is something wrong with my Purple FireFish. She has been in QT for a week now and appears to be doing well. She comes out to eat, swims around in the tank, flicks her fins around and seems healthy to me. Except for the fact that she seems to swim angled to the right side a lot.
Sometimes she seems to swim vertical and other times she look crooked. When she hides under the rock sometimes she almost looks like she goes limp and wraps around the rock in almost a horseshoe shape. Maybe she's just sleeping or something, but I don't know.
My wife is all worried that there is something wrong with "Mrs. Purple Fish" (as my wife calls her).
And before anyone says anything, the rock is sacrificial. I only threw it in there because it was taking up too much room in my sump, I didn't have a place for it in the tank and I wanted to jump start the biological filter on the QT. I'll be using a sponge for now, but didn't have one that had been in the DT long enough.
