is this blasto worth $50...? *pic*...

a local store is selling this blasto for $50... it has one big polyp and 2 smaller ones on the side... i was wondering if a blasto with this color is worth the price...

yes, i know i should buy corals based on what i like and what i'm willing to pay for it... i do like this coral... but i don't want to pay $50 for this only to see it in another store selling for $20... that's really what i'm meaning to ask...

That is a good price. Stores around Chicago charge $70-$80 for a red hue (Boring compared to that).

That is a very pretty one, and a somewhat unusual color morph. I've seen them sell for that much before (and more), but most go for less IME. That seems a bit steep to me. If there happen to be a few things there that you like they may be willing to take off a bit if you make a larger purchase.

I'd say no. What a coral is worth though all depends on who wants it. It does have some variation in it but it is green, brown, green which just does not do much for me.

I can't really say whether or not its worth $50 as thats a matter of opinion... I'd say definately if it was a Welsi, but it appears to be a Merletti... However, it is a rarer color morph... Though I wouldn't let that caulerpa near my tank...

Ya, definately wellsi, 50 is a little steep but not necessarily bending you over either. Retail would be no more than 39.99 in my local region for that piece, but if it had 2-3 more polyps could easily get as high as $75-80.

That is one small Wellsi... Its barely the size of one square of egg-crate... I have a Merletti that big... If it is a Wellsi, I'd say its not an adult polyp...

for the european standards it is really a good price. The one youy are showing could cost in Spain 60-80 euros you have only to multiply by 1.45 and you will see how many dolars it is.

nice blastos, i'd pay 50$ for them. i've been looking for all green ones, but haven't had much luck. i did find these aussies at my lfs though. they r incredible in person.
