I noticed this mark on my Perc about a week ago. I figured it had got scratched or bit by another fish; possibly my male Perc but I seriously dought it. I thought it was going away but it just won't. She looks to MAYBE have a little labored breathing. Any ideas? Treatments?

Have had the pair for about a month with no other problems...the male is fine.

I would say its Brook. I had an Onyx pair that came down with it......
I would catch both clowns and put in a hospital tank, and treat with Kordons Rid Ich plus it has formalin, copper, and Malachite green which can be used to treat fungal infections, and bacterial infections(which fish with brook commonly get). You will need to do a 25% water change daily so the copper doesn't build up in the fishes system.

One of my concerns is that everyone says Brook kills fast, but this has been going on for at least a week now and she is acting perfectly normal and eating very well....still brook you think?

Does not look like brook from the pictures. Could be bacterial. Antibiotics in a hospital tank might help. Formalin should not be used in a fish with open wounds/sores.

How is the clowns diet? If it is fungal or bacterial simple supplementing its diet with garlic and vitamins can go a long way, and if you can get it to eat some veggies with the meaty foods all the better since they are omnivorous(picky little omnivorous though). Also bumping up water changes goes a long way.

Currently feeding a blend of spectrum/blood worms/mysis/ginger/garlic.

I am about to get some veggies for her and my tang.

Does not look like an open wound to me. I also do not like how the cheast/breast area seams puffy. When my Onyx pair had brook, it took a a couple weeks for the female to pass. I had them in a hospital tank and was treating.

It doesn't look like brook to me. It looks like a scrape from a rock to me. Especially because its so localized in that one area.
