is this bta bleached?

shopping around for anemones and saw this one. just wondering if light green is a normal color or if it's bleached out. thanks.

I would buy it if you have the lighting. I think once it colors up it will be a nice looking GBTA.

Umm... Just my two cents but that anemone is terribly bleached. Having the right lighting won't cure it. They require months of hard work and small feeding every few days to get back to normal. If you haven't already bought it, pass it buy. Save your money for a nice, healthy one.

Can't honestly tell from posting pictures on this forum unless you are doing a great job taking the pictures.

I still cannot get my pics to look right and everything is really bright. I see hints of green so i would not trust opinions.

I just posted a pic of my green anemone and I am sure someone will say bleached but it is far from it.

I wouldn't call it "terribly bleached", bleached yes, but not beyond hope. Assuming that one has the proper water parameters, and acclimates it to their lighting it isn't all that hard to bring back an otherwise healthy anemone back from being partially bleached. Also, IMO, small feedings every few days would be too often. In this case I would do small feedings once a week. This has worked while for me in the past.

The key being that the anemone is otherwise healthy.

"I would buy it if you have the lighting" Yep, consider it being a rescue, and that anemone is not beyond saving. If they want 100 dollors than no, if sixty or less yes, it has alot of potential if you have the right lighting.

Completely bleached, at the same time, it's a BTA, so expect it to have a complete recovery with proper conditions.

I have a similar looking and sized BTA that I got as a rescue. I will only eat about once a week(mysis) and likes to move around alot. I have T5HO, so I assume it is getting used to my lighting. I paid 13 bucks for my rescue nem that was on a rock with a yuma and GSP.

They can be saved and that one is not beyond saving. I wouldn't pay much at all for it as you will have to work at saving it, but it can be done. Also, I am by no means an expert, I am trying out my hand at nems for the first time.

it was ebay and ended up selling at 22 with 17 shipping since theyre less then 100 miles away but i passed it up.

hes has an ebay store so i'll just wait for a healthier one.

+1. It does not look like it has any xooanthelae left. it would require very frequent small feedings.

Definately bleached. Purchasing this anemone and moving it to your tank is going to stress the anemone even more. Unless you have experience with this, I don’t recommend the purchase.

Is that flatworms in with the anemone? Hard to tell from pic.
