could you help me id this and best way to remove from the tank

Cyano typically looks slimier imo. Does it come off easy if you rub it? My newest tank has some red Coralline algae that looks similar to your rocks. The two can look so similar that you kinda just have to rub it off and see which sticks and which doesn't. Coralline being the sticker while Cyano will be easily moved

Also for removing Cyano just use suction. It's going to fly around the tank so try and catch what you can before it spreads out

i know if wash it off it come right off so it leads me to be believe it is cyano what is the best way to get rid of it in the display

I would use a small, strong suction and pull it from the display tank during a water change. If you try to scrub it off then a lot will scatter like dust in your tank, staying in the tank but providing cosmetic relief. If the tanks fairly new you're probably going to see this stuff coming back for awhile. Focus on the Cyano each time during water changes and you'll be good.

You may also need more water moment, is there a dead spot around there? Also sometimes this happens when you over feed
