Is this Dinoflagellets? My tank is 4 months old. Parameters seem good all in normal ranges. I do 20% every two weeks. I am about to do a water change and try to vacuum it out but thought I would ask before I make it worse.

What do you suggest to solve the problem.

Yes, it is Dinos. Bubbles and slime look give it away. Mine get bad when I carbon dose. They go away when I stop. Peroxide dosing might help.

I would say cyano. Cyano bubble and releases oxygen.
Perfectly normal uglies for a young tank.
Try to up you flow and reduce your light for a while might help.

It looks like cyano. That's 3 opinions. It looks red. It will go away with time, vacuuming, blowing it and something to out compete it for nutrients. Extra flow will help if pointed at that spot. Last resort would be to use a chemical additive if it stays for longer than 3 months. But those can cause other problems.

That's good news in my book. So the best method to beat them back is water changes with siphoning sand bed and Turkey baster them off the rocks?

I would agree that removing most of what you can will help it from over taking the tank. Siphon then out as best as you can then do some water changes throughout the next few months. I wouldn’t do to much or to fast of a water change as this can change or harm the live stocks within the tank.
