I found this for sale on a website and wondered if its dyed?

If it isn't its AMAZING! They call it a "Flaming Tricolor Bubble Tip"

Doesn't appear to be, to me anyway. Looks more like the affects of lighting or camera work. Sure doesn't look very healthy though! Poor little guy is starving to death.

Wow wish they had those kinds of colours in the shops near me!

I didn't think it looked too healthy, its always suspicious when the best pic they can get has something all shriveled. I wonder what it would look like open?

At any rate I wasn't looking to buy, I'm in the UK so I only get to drool at the exotic coloured US stuff :P Just wanted to know if this is the sort of thing people meant by dyed anemones.

I love those colors!!! I sent an email to Rommel at Ultimate Frags I guess just before he sold/closed up shop. I guess I'll have to wait until I see it somewhere else.

That is the most amazing color BTA I have seen. How could anyone let a BTA of that beauty get to that condition? That's just sad.

That anemone is not photoshopped. The reason why it looks so colorful is because all of its zooxanthellae is compressed together because the BTA is shrunk. I wish I could see a picture of the BTA fully inflated.

i would love to see the origional pic but i would bet that pink is too hot and is not true color

Sarcasm eh?

I saw a BTA that looked like that but in better condition in a local's Q-tank. Awesome looking anemone.

Yes, I wouldn't be suprised if I saw an anemone like this somewhere else. I think the main reason why it looks like this is because its shrunk therefore its zooxanthellae is compressed together. When my RBTA shrinks, its looks a lot more red/pink than usualy because of its zooxanthellae being squeezed together in less space thus a brighter more eye catching color. I don't know why that is such a hard concept to understand. Anyone with anemones should know this.
