I think it is. Mine was a nice tight bunched up frag when I bought (just like the egis pic above).

But, under a mix of natural sunlight and 20K MH, it has "spread out".

Also, it's the Hawkins, but photographs more pinkish or purplish, depending on my lighting. This pic was taken at 630 pm under mostly cloudy skies with the 20K's on.

As already mentioned....it is commonly accepted that the hawkins is not an echinata....but more likely turaki.

Really have to agree with you.

I bought this Acropora of an importer and he didn't know your correct denomination, because it was a wild species.
