Is this fin rot or what?

We bought a pair of ocellaris clown last week and everything looks fine except that one of them seems lost some color on the right fin and top fin, I checked online to see if it's rot fin, but not sure if it rots from middle not edge? They are both very active, always swimming around and eating the pods on my glass. I'm not sure if it's a scratch or what infection it might be. Ich? I thought Ich is white dots, not white strip. Anyone knows?

thx for reading

Is there anything in your tank it could have been stung by? I have a pair of onyx clowns that had very similar markings when they first started hosting my torch coral

Hi ladyonyx, I do have a torch, but this appeared before I put the torch in. I remember the first day when I put the clown in the tank, they kept swimming against the tank glass, hopefully it's just a scratch or something.

do a water change give them nice stable conditions, temp, salinity and feed good quality flake and frozen food and they will be fine, most likely a bacterial infection.

Agreed. It's probably nothing major. Just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse quarantine and treat with a broad spectrum medication (maybe Maracyn2 or Erythromycin)
