I like the may His looks, some sort of macro algae. It came out of nowhere. What is it and is it good?

You don't want that algae, trust me. Its a plague in my tank. My fault though for letting it get bad.

I have little patches here and there of that algae and it hasn't gone ballistic. From time to time I see it mowed down by my starfish or turbo snails.

Yep. It almost wiped out my whole tank recently. I tried fluconazole, which did beat it back quite a bit, but did not eradicate it completely. Still trying to save my prized bubble coral, but I think it's a goner, too. You definitely want to be proactive about it now, while you can.

Been struggling with GHA for over a month now. Even setup HOB refugium.

Those with sumps have this problem? I thought it was only HOB filters that was
an issue holding more nitrate.

Trying Redsea stuff, so far no change except web like stuff growing on glass sides

GHA is a pain when it takes over your DT. What size is your tank? If it's big enough, tangs do a great job at keeping them under control.
