hay everyone i just got a 130g and a 50g for free and the 130g came with an icecap 660-009 lighting setup if i get the right bulbs can i use it for a reef
is this good enough

if thats a normal 660 then yeah ..
vhos are awesome..
i think they can even run t-5s which is even better in most peoples opinons.

VHO's are bettwer than T-5's in my opinion...They can run VHO's(T-12), HO's(T-5), or PC's

The 660 is a nice ballast, especially for that price. :thumbsup: As the others had mentioned the 660 gives you quite a bit of lighting options; T5's, T8's, power compacts and of course VHO's. As long as the total wattage of the lamps does not exceed 440w. Here's a link to the applications and if you need the wiring diagram you can find it here.
One other cool feature of the IceCap ballast is that they can be dimmed using a Solar Dimmer.
