This is not a great picture. It is a small plant that was on a live rock. It has grown just a little bit in about 2 1/2 weeks. There was one little branch and another has grown in that time frame. I have no clue what kind it is.
looks like thats Neomeris sp.. its a harmless Calcareous Algae. it can be very attractive as it takes over the rock. some people like it, some will remove it.
Looks like calulerpa to me. If so, it's a good thing but can grow FAST. If you have tangs, then fear not because it's a staple diet for them and it'll be gone in no time.
